Friday Book Club

First, some wonderful news - Archangel's Kiss is in the top 15 of the NYT for the second week running. It's also hit the Publisher's Weekly Bestseller list. Woohoo! A big thank you to all of you! :-)

Now, bookclub time!

I read Lori Foster's Back In Black this week, and LOVED it! The hero is rough, tough, and all-around delicious. I didn't realize this was part of the SBC Fighter series (set in the world of mixed martial arts), but had absolutely no problems reading it as a stand-alone. I'm now looking forward to glomming the entire series. *rubs hands in glee*

Your turn! What've you been reading and loving this week?

I haven't been reading for awhile because "life" got in the way through the holidays. But this week I'm making up for it. I've read the latest two JD Robb In Death series books, Stephanie Laurens The Elusive Bride, and I just picked up Kresley Cole Pleasure of a Dark Prince.

And I know this will make Nalini happy but it's making me seriously pout. I've been to 2 stores this week looking for Archangel's Kiss and in both they were sold out. I also can't get it in a e-format that I can use on my phone, so I'm triple thwarted! It's becoming very frustrating but I will persevere. 'Cause anything you write, Nalini, is well worth it. :-)

P.S. Plus I have a business trip next week so I'll be in desperate need of my Nalini fix while on the plane.

In preperation for it I'm reading one of Kresley's earlier books, a historical romance, "If You Decieve". As usual, it's absolutely wonderful!

My TBR pile has been growing and my time to read has gone to zilch lately, but I *finally* was able to read this week.

The only thing new I read was Deep Kiss of Winter (finally!). I only read Kresley's piece, and it was marvelous! I have been waiting for Danii and Murdoch's story since the first book and I am so happy with how they were able to get their HEA! I am picking up Pleasure of a Dark Prince, the latest release, tomorrow.

I reread the Guild Hunters novella, I loved the story for Sarah. Archangel's kiss is next! (Yet another book I bought day-of-release, but haven't had time to devour yet)

I'm reading a book from last year my friend gave me by Molly Harper; it's really cute and funny: ice girls don't have fangs, and I'll read JD Robb's newest In Death next.

Heh - I spent my week reading, re-reading, re-re-reading Angel's Blood and Archangel's Kiss... and, while I should be writing, I might just go read them again! ;)

Dearly hoping for more Elena and Raphael soon!

I read that book last week Nalini and loved it. This week I have read The Elusive Bride by Stephanie Laurens, Naked in Death by J.D. Robb, Big Girls don't cry by Cathie Linz, and am now reading Glory in Death, The Wish List by Gabi Stevens, Crazy Cool by Tara Janzen, and picked up Kresley Cole's new book.I almost forgot I got the first book in Joss Ware's series and am loving it.

Just finished the latest Kresley Cole. Haven't been reading much. Recovering from the wisdom tooth extraction from hell. Percoset makes me wonky. :P

NS- I would HIGHLY recommend Tiger's Curse and Tiger's Quest by Collen Houck. She is self published and you can get her books on Kindle for $0.99 and $6.99 respectively. Her heroine, Kelsey, falls in love with an Indian prince cursed to live life as a white tiger. She is the chosen one to break the curse through a number of tests. There is a lot of Indian lore woven into the stories that I really enjoy. Kelsey's patron goddess is Durga!

Congrats Nalini - wonderful news!

I just finished reading Corambis, the fourth and final book in Sarah Monette's Doctrine of Labyrinths series. It was very good. The serie is definitely one of my favourites - I now want to read it again :)
